Child Testimonials

Mia N.

Mia was 11 when she took her first acting class with LNCT. She thought it would be fun to do during her summer break and she would learn some new skills. It was also a great way to get more comfortable for her school skits and presentations. After being elected President of her 6th grade class, Mr. Golden’s summer acting class helped her feel confident when she spoke in front of groups. It helped her to quickly think on her feet and project her voice to make her points heard.

Her favorite part of Mr. Golden’s classes were the improvisation games. Role playing helped all the actors be creative and think fast. It also provided Mia coaching how to utilize a stage and the importance of facing an audience. Mia gives credit to Mr. Golden on landing a role as MC of her school’s annual talent show. She was driven to this role as she wanted to be involved in the entire show – not just a specific part.

Mia has this to say about LNCT’s summer acting classes:

  • "I would recommend the class for kids who want to act, kids who want to become better with their presentations at school, and kids who want to be in student leadership jobs."
  • "Mr. Golden has so much energy and he is so funny; it makes the class fun for us."
  • "Mr. Golden’s class gave me the confidence to keep going – even when you feel lost."

Taking an acting class has helped an already confident girl to be even more comfortable with herself in front of an audience for speeches, music performances, and being in leadership roles. Mia, now 13, continues to put her acting skills to great use!

Adult Testimonials

Caryn Rinaldini

Caryn had always aspired to be an actress since she was very young. She loved to be a storyteller. So much so, she carried that passion into her adult life as she now participates in Toastmasters, a club that helps members improve their public speaking, leadership and communication skills-skills that serve her well in her current Marketing career.

Caryn also attended one of Jeremy Golden’s LNCT acting classes as she felt this would complement her public speaking. She will admit that her biggest challenge was memorizing monologues. She also will tell you that she was (and is) very hard worker, took her classes seriously and was not afraid to take on a challenge. She learned from hands-on experience that pushing out of your comfort zone can be very rewarding. Jeremy Golden’s classes, with enjoyable, fun activities and exercises, helped her achieve a strong appreciation of the art of acting and it changed her perspective on how hard actors work to hone their skills.

Caryn’s final comment in our interview was a wonderful insight into what she learned between her training with Toastmasters and LNCT. The art of communicating to different audiences requires a different approach. She shared that in business you learn the art of communicating to people directly with strong one on one eye contact – giving the listener the confidence you are speaking directly to them. In theatre, Jeremy taught her how to speak to a room, communicate to a large audience, making them all be a part of your personal dialogue: positive life-long learning lessons Caryn takes with her every day!

Marjorie Margel

Marjie had the good fortune to be born into a family of actors — spanning from godmothers to her parents — from scriptwriters to actress — Marjie was taught how to audition as a very young child. Marjie never left the passion of acting behind. As with all our lives, there are times when we need to break away from our passions for a while; focus on other important life events — but like many others — Marjie brought acting back into her life as time permitted and ultimately garnered great success in her lifelong pursuit of acting.

When Marjie was ready to begin acting again, she signed up for Jeremy Golden's adult acting classes to see if she still had the capacity to make her acting dream a reality. Jeremy’s class proved to be the encouragement she needed to re-establish her talents and confidence. She wanted and needed a teacher with integrity and support. Someone who allowed her to blossom, relax, trust and be comfortable with feedback again. She was looking for an environment that was safe and encouraging. Jeremy gave all of that to Marjie and suffice it to say, she has gone on to commercial teaching classes that have landed her roles in TV hits such as Scandal and Lethal Weapon to name a few!

Well done Margie for having the courage to never give up your dream!!!
